What does your work look like?
As a Manager Accounting Advisory Financial Services you will be responsible for advising clients concerning a broad range of regulatory topics such as advising on (parts) of the CRR (e.g. ICAAP, ILAAP, Pillar III, etc.), regulatory reporting, IRB models, etc. You will be working in teams and you act as a key contact for our clients during projects. It is important in this function to continuously expand your technical knowledge of the financial reporting of financial instruments, CRD IV/CRR/ and the Basel committee. Moreover, you contribute to building a relevant network at your clients and prospects.
During projects you will mostly be working in small teams and be involved in the entire process from first contact with the client up until project evaluation. You will assist clients with their issues and you will be involved in presenting our solutions to the clients. You will also be responsible for coaching less experienced team members and making sure they have the possibility to develop themselves on a personal as well as technical level. Having open discussions on technical aspects and approaches, where everybody’s input is highly valued is key to the success of our team.

You will be part of the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services practice (CMAAS), which is part of Audit & Assurance. CMAAS is one of the fastest growing business units of PwC. Our clients are mostly international, listed companies. Because of changing organisations and changes in IFRSs and regulatory reporting requirements, our clients face accounting issues which they need our help with. CMAAS involves approximately 120 professionals working together. The culture within our team is open and informal. Different teams within CMAAS focus on valuations, financial instruments and transactions. The Financial Services team specifically focuses on providing regulatory and accounting advice to banks and insurance companies. Our daily job is to advise and support clients on complex matters such as implementation of Basel III (CRD IV) and Solvency II but also adoption of IFRS 9 and IFRS 4.
